May has been so busy!
I don’t know about you, but this month has been go, go, go for me! I knew coming off of my Europe vacation that my calendar for the month was going to be wild.
I didn’t realize it would be this wild!
I’ve been all over the Bay area for work. I helped throw a grand opening party (I love event planning, by the way!!). I even attending a super sweet 16 birthday pawty for a cat!
I wanted to do a quick update about my monthly reading. This is something I will, likely, do in the future. Alway fun to check in on yourself. In my opinion I’m actually really proud of my reading this month. I think writing as often as I do and building a TBR pile at the beginning of the month really set me up for success. I am definitely a very linear thinker in terms of setting goals; I need a definitive plan for most things that I do.
Here are my half-month stats!:
# of Books read: Nearly 3!
I know for some that this may seem like a very small number, but for me this is great! I am right on track to destroy my May TBR pile! I may have to start thinking about adding one more book to the mix.
# of hours: According to Bookout…. I don’t want to post it because I think it’s wrong
I’m still getting the hang of Bookout. I am seriously a huge fan. I won’t lie, there has been times when I forgot to turn off my timer or I maybe fell asleep. Whoops! I’ve been a lot stricter with Bookout while reading Revival because I really want to get an accurate reading from it.
# of pages: Currently 964 When I finish Revival: 1085
I’ll hopefully be finishing Revival tonight. This is a really interesting Stephen King book. I have so many theories and I’ve been trying to hypothesize the ending. I can’t wait to do a book review on it so I can talk about the overarching themes about time, life and death, and changing fates.
In other exciting news: I go to Los Angeles in two weeks and Las Vegas in three! I spontaneously bought a ticket to Sin City after receiving a Snapchat that gave me some serious FOMO. I don’t know if I will actually read another book about Vegas before I go. I really, really want to get through my TBR pile this month. My pile had to change unexpectedly when I realized my version of Shantaram was virtually unreadable (text issues). With that being said, I have a feeling I’m going to spend a lot of my time there next to the pool…a book in hand.
Off to finish Revival! I can’t wait to do my review!
